I’m not sure if I want to say life is back to normal. Because normal changed with the break in. But with each day, it feels like the pieces are fitting into place to create a new ????something. The boys are in camp. J is excited about picking up clovers and pine cones and connecting with “Fiver” the rabbit. Ry is playing a different sport each day. Next week he will play “hillbilly” beanbag toss. And they are both swimming. My mother has returned from the hospital and appears to be recovering nicely. The sod I laid earlier in the summer has benefited from the rain and looks great. We now have a steel door where the wooden one used to be. My wife is planting some new trees in front of the house. And a few minutes ago, the guy in front of me was given a grande coffee at Starbucks when he ordered an ice coffee. So when I ordered my usual tall coffee, I was offered his grande instead. It feels like the start of something good.
